Only Fools and Horses star Patrick Murray has revealed he had part of his liver and a tumour removed after his second cancer diagnosis.

The 66-year-old, best known for playing Mickey Pearce on the popular sitcom, was diagnosed with lung cancer in July 2021 and underwent surgery to remove the tumour in October.

He then told fans that he was cured and the liver tumour was shrinking in May last year.

However, in a new update for fans, Patrick shared the sad news: “I am going home today,” reports Metro.

This came after Patrick announced in January 2022 that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer after doctors found a malignant tumour.

Five months later, he told fans he was “cured.”

Patrick played Mickey Mouse in 20 episodes of Only Fools and Horses, which ran on BBC One for 22 years until 2003, and was known for his petty crime and black market trade.

After the end of the legendary series, Murray continued to act in films such as The Firm and Curse of The Pink Panther, but later gave up acting and worked as a taxi driver in Kent. He was later fully retired due to ill health.
