The Selfie you either love them or hate them and for many it is a form of expression that showcases one’s beauty or something they wish to be seen with, but for some it can be considered vain, iterating or in some cases down right stupid and even cruel and the following selfie has taken the whole craze to a new level that should not be applauded.

The scandalous selfie(above) has caused outrage worldwide given the fact the truly heart wrenching story that follows it. The incredibly cruel picture which shows a tourist in Macedonia shamefully dragging a defenceless swan to the beach, will bring out many emotions amongst animal lovers after it has been revealed that the poor defenceless elegant creature of nature was left to die an agonising death after the perpetrator of the shameless act left it on the beach.

Police in Macedonia say the animal died a horrific death after the woman believed to be a tourist abandoned the animal after she got to take her photograph on the shore of Lake Ohrid. Local media say the swan suffered a tremendous amount of shock during what they say was an unnecessary attack that left the poor creature ‘motionless after the encounter.’

The truly disgusting case of animal cruelty comes only a month after a dolphin reportedly died in Argentina after tourists pulled it from the water to take photographs, whilst a similar incident also occurred in China when a number of peacocks were cruely killed after number of tourists grabbed the majestic birds to take photos.

Surely this kind of madness must be stopped, as countless animals worldwide are suffering a cruel fate for the sake of a few likes.
