One of the country’s biggest retailers could potentially be open 24 hours a day in the run up to Christmas if Level 5 restrictions are lifted.
According to The Guardian, George Weston, the chief executive of Associated British Foods who owns Primark/Penneys said the company are considering longer opening hours in the weeks leading up to the big day.
It is reported that the idea is being considered in order to allow consumers to shop in store more safely as queuing would be greatly reduced if stores are open longer.
Although no official plans have been made Weston said some stores could potentially open longer in order for everyone to complete their Christmas shopping.
However the retailer has said there are no plans to have online shopping for the brand.
