‘Operation Not Forgotten’ – US Marshals rescue 39 missing children




In an operation undertaken by US federal marshals 39 missing children from all over the state of Georgia were rescued from sex trafficking.

Operation ‘Not Forgotten’ took place in the metropolitan areas of Atlanta and Macon and saw children from the ages of just 3-years-old to 17 being rescued or safely located.

The FBI’s Atlanta branch posted on Twitter announcing the rescues saying:

“Acting Special Agent in Charge, Phil Wislar attends a press conference with our partners @USMarshalsHQ announcing the recovery of 39 missing children in Georgia during “Operation Not Forgotten”. Thank you to all our partners involved!”

During the rescue operation nine adults were arrested and now face a variety of charges.

During the Trump administration arrests of human traffickers has soared as the US President has made ending the horrific practice one of the focuses of his agenda.
