I understand people’s frustration, I do. I can see why they’re so upset with the council, with Enda Kenny, with Aiken and with the residents.
I can see it was their big day or weekend out and that they queued overnight and bought tickets at dear prices.
What I can’t understand is why the same 400,000 wouldn’t all get out and protest against water charges, the property tax, austerity budgets, etc.
We have a horrendous government in this country, we have a terribly run health system, but yet again it takes a celebrity to make the average person threaten protests or uproar.
When will people realise the true plight of Ireland and protest over real issues.
