Opinion: Fianna Fail practically destroyed this country, resulting in massive debt, emigration and devastation, people should NEVER forget

Fianna Fail leader Micheal Martin is running around the country, shaking hands, holding babies and smiling in an effort to fob off and fend off the horrendous disaster that his party left this country in less than 9 years ago.

In September 2008, when the country was left penniless, Micheal Martin was a front bench Minister – working with the Taoiseach Brian Cowan and the Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan.

The lack of regulation helping to lead to the housing bust saw endless people put into negative equity, lose their job, move back in with their parents or even emigrate.

Although you can’t directly attain the devastating number of suicides that happened during the recession, one has to question whether those poor people’s minds wouldn’t have been in such a bad place had Fianna Fail not left the country in such a disastrous state.

Micheal Martin is now trying to swan in like a White Knight pretending that the past never happened, that Fianna Fail weren’t decimated in the 2011 election and that they can fix the country’s problems – many of which are still directly caused by previously led Fianna Fail governments.

Now this has absolutely nothing to do with Fine Gael and what they were took over – they did as bad if not worse that Fianna Fail given the fact that they tried to force through Irish water charges.

This article’s purpose is to make you rethink voting for Fianna Fail if you plan on doing so. Think back to the early 2010s when the Christmas bonus for social welfare recipients had to be cut, when your mortgage was massively in arrears, when your house wasn’t worth one fifth the price of your mortgage, when your children were forced to emigrate around the world and never came home. Think do you really want to give the reigns of the Irish government back over to a party to practically destroyed this wonderful country.

I know I don’t and I know for a fact that I won’t be voting for Fianna Fail.

NEVER forget what Fianna Fail did to Ireland.
