Opinion: Make no mistake, Fidel Castro was an animal who butchered his own people

One of the most evil dictators of the 20th century Fidel Castro has finally died, contemptuous of his fellow country men right to the end,he has demanded that the cancerous ideology of Cuban Communism must be fought for even after he has gone into the darkness that awaits in eternity for the inherently evil.

Castro starved, murdered, exiled, imprisoned and denied the people of Cuba their freedom of movement, assembly, religious thought and private property rights for over 50 years.
His tyrannical regime has destroyed Cuba for at least the next 100 years, his death camps and targeting of political opponents, minority groups and homosexuals has been criticized around the world,as one human rights worker put it, he has simply destroyed the lives of the last three generations of Cubans.
In the face of this utter horror the “President” of Ireland Micheal D. Higgins has lavished praise on the monster saying among other things:
“Fidel Castro will be remembered as a giant among global leaders whose view was not only one of freedom for his people but for all of the oppressed and excluded peoples on the planet”

Meanwhile tears of joy were being wept by Cuban Patriots on the streets of Miami, elderly Cubans whose families had been murdered or imprisoned and who themselves had to flee from their home country talked at length about their trials at the hands of the monster as spontaneous street parties and parades erupted in exiled Cuban communities all across Southern Florida.

A Cuban rights campaign group which continues to campaign for the rights of Cubans in Cuba says that it intends to protest the visit of any foreign Politicians who praised the tyrant on their visit to America, presumably that will very much include President Higgins, they will also be contacting the Irish Embassy in America and the American Embassy in Dublin for a retraction or at least an addendum referring to the suffering of the Cuban people.
