Orange warning in place as thunderstorms sweep into the country, bringing heavy rain and electrical activity

An Orange weather warning is currently in place as thunderstorms are about to sweep across the country overnight.

Heavy rain and lightning activity are forecast for much of Ireland over the next few hours.

The warning will remain in place until 10pm.
