Organisations demand the government help Ukrainians coming into Ireland with intellectual disabilities

A charity that helps people with intellectual disabilities has called for the necessary resources to be provided to help people with special needs who are arriving in Ireland from the Ukraine.

The organization WALK recently brought four Ukrainian families to Ireland and say that they need help to settle in.

It’s understood that So far some 15,000 Ukrainian refugees have arrived in Ireland, with all of them entitled to free medical cards, dole and all other social welfare facilities. They’re also fully entitled to work here.

Many on social media believe that it’s utterly outrageous how Ireland’s homeless numbers continue to grow yet the government is bringing in some 200,000 Ukrainians.
