American actress Sondra Locke has passed away aged 74.
Locke, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1968 film The heart is a lonely hunter, reportedly passed away on November 13 last, but her death has only been announced today.
Locke had a long but tempestuous relationship with Hollywood star Clint Eastwood, with whom she split in 1989. A legal battle followed, as she sued him for palimony and other issues.
The actress passed away from complications related to cancer at the age of 74.
