Out on her ear: Fine Gael’s Josepha Madigan thrown out of relgious venue because she led abortion campaign

Minister Josepha Madigan has been thrown out the door on her ear by the Sisters of Mercy on Baggot St, Dublin, because she led the Yes vote in last year’s abortion referendum.

Madigan was invited to speak at a conference that has been held in the building annually for the past number of years.

Major opposition to Madigan speaking at the venue resulted in the Sisters of Mercy receiving hundreds of phone calls from concerned Catholics.

Lumen Fidei Institute initiated the opposition after stating that no person can support abortion and call themselves Catholic.

The Liberal understands that “bus loads” of protesters were going to stage a rally at the Baggot St venue on February 11th if Madigan wasn’t thrown out.

It’s emerged today that the liberal group ‘We Are Church’ will now hold a conference in an unnamed South Dublin hotel instead.
