Medicinal cannabis campaigner Vera Twomey tragically collapsed outside the Dail yesterday from the strain and pressure she’s under from travelling home from the Netherlands where her daughter Ava is being treated with the drug.
Little Ava Twomey has a severe form of epilepsy but Vera claims that her daughter has started to live a much better life since she started receiving medicinal cannabis treatment in the Netherlands.
Vera was holding a campaign outside the Dail, having come straight from Dublin airport, where she collapsed from pure exhaustion and was rushed to St. Vincent’s hospital where she was thankfully released yesterday evening.
One social media user said “what an utter disgrace Minister for Health Simon Harris is allowing this to happen to one of our own”.
