It has emerged that staff at Irish Water can earn annual bonuses payments of up to 19% as part of their reward scheme.
Staff at Irish Water’s parent company Bord Gais which is now called Ervia are also entitled to the bonuses.
The bonuses are given on basis of people who meet or exceed targets, but also given to staff who recieve a “need improvement” rating. This means that staff members of Irish Water will receive bonuses regardless of performance.
Essentially Irish Water staff will get paid to implement water meters, and also as basically being part of the company.
