It’s been confirmed that a total of 1.2 million people will see their water supply badly affected over the coming days as Irish Water struggle to get water pressure back up to its normal level.
A number of communities in the greater Dublin area will see a reduction in water pressure overnight, to allow a reservoir to reach sufficient levels.
The restriction will be in place between 7pm tonight and 7am tomorrow.

About 10,500 households and business premises remain without supply across Ireland. People are advised to have showers and baths at off-peak times in an effort to preserve as much water in reservoirs as possible.
It’s believed that water levels may not be back to full pressure for a number of weeks.
