Over 100 people gathered outside a Dublin church for the funeral of George Nkencho, after he was shot dead by gardaí in January.
The funeral took place at the Sacred Heart Church and had 10 people inside and more than 100 outside.
Some people were holding posters reading “farewell George”.
The 27-yr-old man was shot outside his family home in Clonee on 30 December after allegedly assaulting a Spar worker and lunging towards gardai with a knife.
His sister Gloria described his death as untimely, unplanned and unwanted.
