Management at the Shelbourne Hotel have confirmed that over 120 people are to be temporarily laid off.
According to RTE News, the decision comes as the hotel has experienced a significant decrease in visitors due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is understood that a total of 127 people will be temporarily let go in the coming weeks ahead.
Management also confirmed that the remainder of its staff will be working reduced hours as part of a cost cutting plan.
The hotel which reopened last year currently employs 435 people.
