The HSE have confirmed that a total of 124,000 12 to 15 year olds have registered for a Covid-19 vaccine.
Speaking about the vaccine rollout the HSE Chief Executive Paul Reid said there has been an extraordinary uptake for the vaccine and the priority now is to get those in their early teens vaccinated.
Reid also confirmed that over 72,000 12 to 15 year olds have already received a first dose.
The news comes as the HSE confirmed that a total of 6.5 million Covid-19 vaccines have been administered to date.
