There were further protests on the streets of Dublin this weekend as around 2,000 people marched through the city calling on the Government to address the current homeless crisis.
In the first of a number of event events to take place over the next two months, people supporting the Homeless and Housing Coalition, voiced their opinions and concerns as they marched through the city.
Although the number of people attending Saturday’s protest was significantly lower than last December, campaigners said they wanted to see more action taken by the government as homeless figures surpassed 10,000 in recent weeks.
It is expected that thousands more will attend rallies in Cork and Galway, in April and May ahead of the upcoming local elections.
