Over 500 homes in counties Cavan and Monaghan are without power this morning following heavy snowfall.
According to ESB networks the issues which have arisen due to a number of faults in both counties won’t be fixed until later today.
In brief announcement on their twitter account the ESB say crews will be deployed in both counties this morning and they hope to have the faults rectified by 5pm this evening.
The electricity provider also apologised to customers for a any inconvenience caused.
