A fundraising website has raised over £100,000 (€115,000) in order to fund a search operation for missing Cardiff City footballer Emiliano Sala and pilot David Ibbotson.
The website which was setup in the immediate aftermath of the cancellation of a police search earlier this week, has raised the money with over 60,000 signatures.
In an emotional appeal Emiliano’s sister Romina has urged authorities to continue the search for her brother and Mr Ibbotson.
Meanwhile a number of high profile football players including Sergio Augero, Gonzalo Higuain have made significant donations to the fund, whilst also making appeals to continue the search.
Both Sala and Ibbotson sadly went missing the light aircraft they were travelling in crashed over the English Channel on Monday night.
