Overcrowding at Irish hospitals continues to hit record highs, as more than 660 people are waiting for a bed today

Official figures show that 665 were languishing on trolleys as of today, with University Hospital Limerick once again leading the shameful charge with a massive 106 people waiting for beds. Most are likely to never get a bed and will simply either die on the trolley or hobble away back home as best they can having never been seen by medical staff 36 or 48h on after arrival.

The Minister for Health is yet to address the crisis.
