Overcrowding at Irish hospitals continues to hit record highs, as over 600 people are waiting for a bed today.
Official figures show that 635 people were languishing on trolleys as of this morning, with Cork University Hospital (CUH) leading the shameful charge with a massive 90 people waiting for beds. Most people are likely to never get a bed and will simply either die on the trolley or hobble away back home as best they can having never been seen by medical staff 36 or 48h on after arrival.
The Minister for Health is yet to address the ongoing crisis.
