Penny Lawrence, Deputy Chief Executive at Oxfam, has resigned over the recent scandal involving the charity organization.
It is alleged that senior Oxfam staff hired prostitutes while doing work on the charity’s behalf in disaster-hit Chad and Haiti. It is also alleged that staff downloaded pornographic material, engaged in bullying tactics, and other questionable activities.
Ms. Lawrence accepted ‘full responsibility’ for the staff’s action when handing in her resignation.
