Parents have mixed views on Donnelly declaring vaccination for 5 to 11 year olds won’t happen in 2021




 

Parents have has mixed views on children under the age of 11 not being offered the vaccine in 2021.

The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said that any programme that would target vaccinating 5 to 11 year olds against Covid-19 will not happen this year.

Speaking today Minister Donnelly said any programme for that age group would not happen this year if it was recommended.

Donnelly’s comments come after the Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that he has no issue with vaccinating this age group provided its inline with public health advice.
