Parents left stunned as teacher gives boy with autism an award for being the most annoying male in her class

A teacher at a school State of Indiana has come under review after she gave an 11-year-old boy with autism an award for being the most annoying male in her class.

According to CBS News , the young boy was given the so called award at ceremony at Bailly Prepatory Academy, in Gary.

The shocking incident which has led to the boy’s parents to submit a complaint to the school, came as a crowd of parents attended the ceremony to mark the end of school year.

Speaking to reporters, the boy’s father who is angry and upset at how his son was treated, said that he and fellow parents were left in shock when the teacher presented him with the award.

The upset father also spoke of how he tried to look after his son in the difficult situation without making a scene.

But the matter was made all the more worse as the teacher drew further attention to the boy by reminding him not to forget his plaque as he was being assisted by his father who wanted to move him away from the situation.

The father of the boy who is non-verbal, and is known to occasionally rock back and forth, told the reporters that he himself has been left deeply upset by the incident and fears it may happen to other children.

He also said he is baffled as to why someone would treat his son like this, before stating that just because he has special needs it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have feelings.

It is reported that the teacher involved has since been disciplined by management at the school, but it is not yet known if she has been removed from her position.
