The Eiffel Tower has been lit up for the first time since Friday’s horrific terrorist attacks. The French landmark stood proudly, lit up in the national colours of red, white and blue.
The tower descended into darkness as a mark of respect for the 129 lives lost in the the terrorist attacks on Friday in the French capital. The usual lights of the Eiffel Tower were replaced with the tricolor as a symbol of solidarity.
Today at noon Paris time, a moment of silence took place worldwide in rememberance of those lost to the Friday’s shocking acts of terrorism.
A book of condolences was opened this morning at the French Embassy on Merrion Square.
