In a display of sheer cringe-worthy pandering, Patrick Kielty, the host of RTE’s “The Late Late Show,” recently recorded a message of support for Jimmy Kimmel, whose show was suspended after pushing a false narrative about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
This gesture, while ostensibly about solidarity among late-night hosts, reeks of hypocrisy and cynicism. RTE, known for censoring voices opposed to mass migration and the experimental mRNA COVID vaccine, now champions free speech? Please.
This is the same network that silences dissent on critical issues, yet here Kielty stands, extending a hand to Kimmel, who was fired not just for his remarks but for failing ratings and haemorrhaging money.
Kimmel’s pushing of the fake news, false narrative that a far-left, tranny-obsessed weirdo was actually “MAGA” was merely the final straw for his bosses desperate for any reason to sack the former black face sporting, Trump deranged loser who was haemorrhaging money and ratings.
Kielty’s stunt is laughably transparent.
Is he hoping to cosy up to liberal elites in America, dreaming of his own talk show? The irony is palpable.
RTE, a bastion of selective censorship, suddenly champions unfettered expression? Spare us. This is not about principle; it’s about Kielty’s ambition, wrapped in a bow of faux solidarity.
The Liberal.ie calls out this hypocrisy. RTE’s silence on real issues contrasts sharply with their loud support for Kimmel’s folly.
Kielty’s message is less about free speech and more about his own career aspirations. Cringe-worthy indeed.
