PC madness – Sexism blamed for failure of latest Charlie’s Angels movie reboot

The latest Hollywood reboot of ‘Charlies Angels’ has official ‘flopped’ at the box office taking in just $8.6 million domestic opening despite its budget of $48 million and some are now blaming sexism for the failure.

One of film’s stars, Elizabeth Banks, even went as far as to suggest that men are still reluctant to see actions films with female leads, despite the fact that one of the year’s most successful films was ‘Captain Marvel’.

The new ‘Charlies Angels’ film is marketed as a feminist action movie, ticking several progressive boxes with ethnically ambiguous characters, masculinised female characters and of course a healthy dose of bi-sexuality.

However, it appears Sony are just a latest victim in the ongoing phenomenon of “Get Woke, go Broke”.
