Ireland’s Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn gave the green light to children who want to go out trick or treating around the country but urged people to stay safe as covid numbers grow.
He urged parents and children to follow basic precautions over Halloween as long as they do so in the safest way possible.
Glynn said that it’ll mean that some children will be upset this weekend because if your child is sick then they need to isolate and take the basic precautions.
Tony Holohan told people to continue to use hand sanitizer and to make small efforts for everyone.
