People urged to remain cautious and follow public health guidelines as concerns grow over Delta variant




 

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has called on the public to vigilant as concerns grow over the Delta variant.

Speaking to Beat 102-103, Glynn urged people to remain cautious and to follow public health guidelines over the coming weeks ahead.

Glynn told the station that people are not yet vaccinated should remain cautious as we don’t want to run into trouble over the coming weeks ahead.

The warning comes as the UK has seen a rise in cases of the variant which is believed to be 60% more transmissible.
