Fourteen sites have been identified across Dublin where more homes and businesses could be built.

A plan by the Ministry of Housing is due to be presented to the cabinet this morning, reports Breaking News.

A working group is examining places that could be further developed in the capital because they have good bus or train connections.

There are 14 identified areas where intensive housing development – along with shops and services – could take place, reports Breaking News.

These include Adamstown, Ballymun, Barnhill, Cherrywood, Clonburris, North Fringe and Poolbeg West.

The other areas are Sandyford, Tallaght, Broombridge, City Edge, Dunsink, Jamestown and Lissenhall, reports Breaking News.

Housing Secretary Darragh O’Brien will present the proposals to Cabinet this morning.
