A grandmother living in Ireland after fleeing the war in the Ukraine was reunited with her beloved black labrador cross who is named Tasha.
86-yr-old Violeta of Odessa, tried to take her 13-year-old pet with her when she fled the country but was unable to do so because when they were in Romania they had to split up because the older refugee couldn’t transport Tasha any further.
A local family decently agreed to care for the dog while Tasha and her family continued their journey, eventually finding refuge in Co Clare.
Volunteers did their best to locate the dog and get it back with its owner. Violeta hasn’t been feeling too well recently, but the delight of seeing her beloved dog has given her a lift and said that it will make her much better.
