Police appeal for help in locating mother thought to have abducted her two sons

Police in Nottingham, UK, have said they are extremely concerned for the welfare of two boys who they suspect have been abducted by their mother.

Samantha Baldwin was last seen on Monday near Nottingham city centre. She is now thought to to be with 6-year-old Dylan Madge and 9-yr-old Louis Madge.

Police originally issued a missing person appeal on Tuesday, but on Wednesday they said they are treating the disappearance as an abduction.

Earlier in the week, Nottingham Family Court ordered the two boys be removed from the care of their mother.

Police have not ruled out the possibilty that the mother made her way to Ireland or central Europe.

Superintendent Rich Fretwell said:

“Our investigation team are exploring a number of lines of inquiry. There’s always the possibility that Samantha could be being harboured by someone.

“We would urge that person to come forward and let us know where the boys are.”

Ms Baldwin is described as 5ft 7in, of slim build, with shoulder-length blonde hair and green-blue eyes; Louis has collar-length straight fair hair, a fair complexion and blue eyes, Dylan has collar-length straight brown hair, a tanned complexion and brown eyes.

Anyone with information should call Nottinghamshire Police on 0044 300 300 9999, quoting incident number 332 of March 27.
