The violence at Euro 2016 continues as Police fire tear gas at football fans.

It is not yet clear what countries were involved but England and Wales supporters had gathered in the city of Lens before the two teams clashed.

However, Russian and Slovakian supporters are also in the city after the two teams faced off at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Police in riot gear attempted to calm the crowd, pushing them into a corner of the city’s main square.

England fan Oliver Larkworthy from Norwich was caught up in the scene:

“I saw a massive crowd running down the street – English fans, Slovakian fans and locals mainly, a real mix. There is a massive mob of Russian fans standing outside the station just waiting to cause trouble. The whole thing is a disaster waiting to happen. It’s like a massive tinder box waiting to go off any minute.”

The situation now appears to have subsided.
