Over 320,000 used condoms that were repackaged and sold as new have been seized by police in Vietnam.
Officers found the stash during a raid on a factory on the outskirts of Ho Chi Minh city, CBS reports. The owner told them he bought the used condoms in bulk from another man, washed and reshaped them, and packaged them in plastic bags to be sold in markets.
A health official from the Vietnamese government is quoted by local press as warning that the recycled condoms posed an ‘extreme’ health risk to users.
