Water charges are the number one issue on everyone’s mind, after the Fine Gael-made disaster of Irish Water turned into a monster.

The main political parties will meet again today, for further talks on how a minority government led by either party might work.

Another vote to elect a new Taoiseach will take place on Thursday, and if no clear outcome emerges then, another election is the most likely eventuality.

It is understood that the property tax and water charges may become one so-called ‘household package’.
