Budget 2020 has received a very mixed reaction with many saying it’s far worse than they had expected with the introduction of carbon tax and a heavy increase in cigarette prices.
Last evening we held a poll to see whether people thought the increase in cigarette prices to €13.50 per packet of 20 was fair or not.
Over 10,000 people took our poll and perhaps somewhat surprisingly was that 48% of those polled said they didn’t agree with the increase and that it was unfair on people who smoke to be hit again.
