Pope Francis has said he is looking forward to returning to Ireland for the World Meeting of Families this weekend.
In a video message released on Tuesday, Pope Francis told his followers that the event will bring renewed encouragement to families everywhere.
The Pope who visited Ireland in the early 80s to learn English also said he was excited about his upcoming visit.
In the short video message Pope Francis sent greetings to the Irish people and revealed that he hopes this week’s event will be a source of renewed encouragement for families everywhere and especially those who plan on attending the event in Dublin.
He also said the event will remind everyone that the family has an essential place in society.
Pope Francis is expected to arrive in Ireland this weekend where he will attend a number of events this Saturday and Sunday.
