Pope Francis showed his sense of humour recently after he broke into a fit of laughter when he saw a baby dressed in the same clothes as him on the penultimate day of his US tour.
The Pope saw the infant on the streets of Philadelphia, where thousands gathered to greet him as he traveled in his ‘Popemobile’ through the city. The news of Popes meeting with the young child has been reported throughout the world’s media with many finding the incident amusing. It is believed Pope Francis saw the infant in the crowd after her parents Daniel and Dana Madden decided to pay homage to the 78-year-old’s first official visit to the US by dressing their daughter Quinn in a traditional white cassock complete with a ceremonial headdress known as a ‘mitre’ for Francis’s papal parade on Saturday. It is then believed the Pope asked security guards to pass her over so he could bless her.
TV cameras captured the heart warming moment were the pope could be seen whispering to a security guard as he held the baby before passing it back over to Ms Madden.
