Pope Francis has announced his intentions to visit Knock during his upcoming visit to Ireland.
The head of the Catholic faith is scheduled to travel to Ireland in August, where he will attend the Catholic World Meeting of Families in Croke Park, and later celebrate the closing mass at Phoenix Park.
Pope Francis will then recite the Angelus at Knock’s main attraction, the Marian Shrine.
