Census figures reveal that Ireland’s population is expected to reach its highest level in over 150 years.
The final figure is yet to be revealed, but it’s looking like a record 4.65 million people are residing in Ireland, an increase from 4.58 million in 2011.
The census also shows a marked increase of people living in the greater Dublin area over the last five years.
