Dublin’s Port Tunnel facility has now reopened, after being temporarily blocked by ‘yellow vest’ protesters earlier today.
Activists first marched from Custom House Quay to the East Link bridge before blocking the entrance to the tunnel for a time this evening.
The demonstrations were inspired by similar protests in Paris in recent weeks. Protestors vowed to march every Saturday into the year ‘to demand recognition of the desire and right of all people to live, work and thrive in a safe modern and dignified manner.”
