Post mortems being conducted on couple found in Newry house – possibly died months ago




Post-mortem examinations are being carried out on the bodies of an elderly man and woman who were found in their home near Newry in Co Down.

The couple have been named locally as Jim and Mary McLaughlin and sadly are believed to have died some time ago.

PSNI officers have sealed off the house where an investigation into the cause of the deaths continues.

The alarm was only raised when a postman was informed by a neighbour that the couple’s well kept garden had becomme overgrown.

The couple moved to England shortly after getting married moved back to the area where Mr McLaughlin was born.
