Postman/weatherman predicts fine weather for August

postman

Donegal postman and weatherman extraordinaire Michael Gallagher claims that the month of August will be a scorcher. And he says it’s all because a new moon happens on a Friday.

Mr. Gallagher bases his predictions on the the behavior of plants, animals, and celestial bodies, and according to him, the month of August will bring about fine weather. We’ll hold on to any hope at this point.

For now, however, unsettled weather will be predominant for the entire week. There will be outbreaks of rain this morning, though it will brighten up as the day progresses and the sun will put a welcome appearance. There will be further showers later in the evening, though temperatures will remain fairly mild, between 16-20C.

Scattered showers are predicted for tomorrow, with sunny spells also, and temperatures of 15-19C.

Thursday and Friday are looking like the best days of a bad lot, with a great deal of dry weather an

d few showers. Temperatures will probably reach 17-18C.
