A pregnant woman has reportedly lost her baby after an alleged assault in Listowel, Co. Kerry, on Saturday night.
The victim, a female in her 30s, went to hospital on Sunday. The baby was stillborn a short time later.
A male in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident.
