President Michael D Higgins has called on the public to remain patient and take care of themselves during the Covid-19 outbreak.
In an announcement President Higgins said that it was important that the country follows the latest guidelines and to keep a safe distance during the outbreak.
Although President Higgins admitted that the task will be difficult he reminded people that what we do now will bear fruit in the coming weeks ahead.
President Higgins also thanked those on the frontline who have worked through the outbreak.
He said that we have become dependent on these people who have kept communities healthy and safe.
