A hospital worker in the UK has suffered a broken cheekbone after being punched in the face while working a long shift. 27-yr-old Daniel Shevlin was charged with assault and a crime under public law after the alleged incident at the Royal Infirmary in Salford on Sunday.
Officers were called shortly before 1:50pm to be told that a man attacked an NHS employee at the hospital and punched him hard in the jaw.
The male worker, who is aged in his 50s, had to be treated for a broken cheekbone, but has since been released from hospital. Shevlin, without a fixed address, was arrested and detained before his appearance in the Magistrates Court in Manchester and Salford.
