The President Michael D Higgins has confirmed that he will not attend a Northern Ireland centenary service with Queen Elizabeth next month.
According to RTE News, the President’s office confirmed that he will not attend the church service which is being held I Co Armagh.
Although no official explanation has been given as to why President Higgins will not attend, it has been confirmed that the president welcomes opportunities to meet with Her Majesty and members of her family.
