New U.S sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran have come into force and President Trump has warned that “anyone doing business with Iran will not be doing business with the U.S” on his twitter account, RT has reported.
Trump went on to state that he is asking for “world peace, nothing less”.
The new sanctions will prevent Iran from doing any business using the U.S dollar, which is the world’s reserve currency.
They will also bar the Middle Eastern country from trading in cars, minerals and metals, which would include steel, aluminium, coal and gold.
The next wave of U.S sanctions on the Islamic Republic however, promise to be even more painful when in November the U.S demands that all countries seeking to avoid sanctions reduce to zero their importation of the Iranian oil, CNBC reports.
The sanctions are in response to Iran’s nuclear programme which the U.S fears may be used to develop weapons.
