Joe Maldonado-Passage, the star of the hugely popular Netflix series “Tiger King” could in luck as US President Donald Trump responded “ I’ll take a look” to a question about potentially pardoning the eccentric former zookeeper.
Passage, more commonly known as ‘Joe Exotic’ was sentenced to 22-years in prison for attempting to organise a murder for hire plot against animal rights activist Carol Baskin.
Exotic kept at least 176 tigers, as well as lions, bears and alligators at his Oklahoma home and ran zoo before being jailed for the plot against his arch-nemesis Carol Baskin who was herself suspected to have allegedly murdered her husband.
The documentary about the life, exploits and ultimately imprisonment of Joe Exotic has become the most popular Netflix original documentary ever with a follow planned by the streaming giant for later this month.
